Brenda’s career started at Disney Feature Animation’s story department during the Disney Renaissance, ultimately leading to the head of story position on THE LION KING. She went on to become the first female director of a major animation studio film with DreamWorks’ THE PRINCE OF EGYPT. She later worked with the senior creative team at Pixar where she became the first woman to win an Academy Award for her work writing and directing Disney*Pixar’s BRAVE. Most recently, she made her live-action directorial debut with the Sundance Film Festival premiere COME AWAY, starring Angelina Jolie and David Oyelowo.

 

Kevin’s career began as a character designer and animator on THE BRAVE LITTLE TOASTER and soon afterward joined Disney Feature Animation doing visual development, character design and storyboarding on THE LITTLE MERMAID, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and ALADDIN. He made his animation directorial debut with Disney’s A GOOFY MOVIE. After directing Disney’s TARZAN, Kevin moved into live-action, directing 102 DALMATIANS, ELOISE AT THE PLAZA, ELOISE AT CHRISTMASTIME (for which he won the DGA Award for Best Children’s Programming), and ENCHANTED.

 

After years of creating for big studios, Kevin and Brenda have formed ’Twas Entertainment, where they aim to continue creating the influential stories they have always been drawn to.
